Love Design and Color but Paint Wears Off

Another reviewer posted a similar issue. I love the design and the pink color but after the first few uses in the shower with soap on it, the color begins to rub away, which is a real bummer. I'm interested in some of the other soap dishes/designs from this company but can't be sure that a similar thing won't happen with those, as

Wanted to love it, but lacking quality

I bought this because it was adorable and unique and I was looking to replace my plastic soap dish. I thought it would be a cute addition to the bathroom and the pink would be a nice pop of color, along with the interesting zigzag shape. Unfortunately I'm pretty disappointed with the fact that as soon as I started using it, the pink color started discoloring with white spots all over. I thought maybe it was just residue from my soap, but when I tried to scrape it off, it didn't come off. It's the paint becoming discolored from the soap sitting on it, or maybe the contact from water, or both. The quality of the paint needs to be improved. It needs to be more waterproof, especially considering that's the whole point of the product is to hold something that will be wet pretty frequently. I haven't even had it two weeks and it looks like I've had it forever. I'm planning on maybe trying to spruce it up with some paint of my own that may be more water resistant, but I'm definitely glad I got it on sale and didn't pay full
